Adventure lost, dream gained
MKB Service desk, an internet platform for entrepreneurs, asked Edo Ankum to contribute a guest column. In the column Edo writes about the difficulty of finding a future ‘job’, just after the moment Joanne and Edo decided to call a halt to their cruising life. A new dream slowly but surely emerges, a dream with a lot of practical hurdles yet to be taken, amongst which the raising of a substantial amount of money. But clinging to the dream, avoiding the temptation to compromise, and stubbornly trusting in Edo’s knowledge and sense of planning, a couple of years later expedition vessel Long Tall Sally is right on track with a scheduled launching in spring 2011.
